About us

Alaska road trips,
planned by hand

Yoni has driven Alaska's major routes — many of them multiple times, in different seasons, in different vehicles. Every itinerary is hand-built by him, delivered in 5 days, with a 14-day money-back guarantee.

The founder

Yoni Ryabinski

Founder · Alaska Road Trip

Yoni founded Alaska Road Trip after years of friends asking him to plan their trips. He runs the operation hands-on — reviewing every itinerary before it ships, and personally answering customer questions when something tricky comes up.

He's an operator and product builder by background, and applies the same rigor here: real research, no affiliate noise, and a deliverable people are happy to pay for.

Our other projects: Yoni also runs PanAm Trip, a build-in-public overland expedition driving the Americas from the Arctic to Patagonia — the Alaska Highway leg runs right through the routes we plan here.

How it started

It began with a question everyone kept asking

Every time someone heard Yoni had been to Alaska, the same thing happened: they'd grab their phone, open their notes app, and start firing questions. "Where did you stay in Seward?""Is the Dalton Highway actually doable?""How many days do I really need?"

He started sending friends his itineraries. Then friends of friends. Then strangers on Reddit. Eventually it was clear he was spending hours every week planning trips for other people — and loving it.

So he turned it into a service. Every itinerary draws on real experience driving these roads, sleeping in these lodges, and eating at these restaurants. Yoni follows Alaska tourism news year-round so your itinerary reflects this summer, not a 2019 blog post.

What makes us different

Not a travel agency.
Not an algorithm.

01

Real experience, not research

Yoni doesn't Google answers for you — he's been there. He knows the difference between the Homer Spit in June and the Homer Spit in September, and why that matters for your trip.

02

Honest recommendations

No affiliate deals with lodges or tour operators. Recommendations are based on what's actually good, not what pays a commission. If a place has gone downhill, you'll hear it here first.

03

Seasonally current

Alaska changes every year — roads get rerouted, businesses open and close, glaciers retreat. Yoni tracks these changes so your itinerary reflects this summer, not a 2019 blog post.

04

Built for your trip, not everyone's

A couple celebrating an anniversary needs a different itinerary than a family with three kids under ten. Every plan is built around your group, your pace, and your definition of a perfect day.

Common questions

What travelers ask before paying for an itinerary

Who plans each Alaska Road Trip itinerary?

Yoni Ryabinski personally builds and reviews every custom itinerary before it ships, using current route, lodging, and seasonal notes from Alaska operators.

How do you keep recommendations current?

Yoni follows Alaska road, ferry, lodge, and tour updates throughout the year, then refreshes plans when conditions, closures, or availability change.

Do you earn commissions from the places you recommend?

No. Lodging, restaurant, and activity picks are chosen for fit, timing, and quality, not affiliate payouts.
