A custom day-by-day itinerary built by someonewho actually drives these roads.
$50 toward your plan. Pay the balance only after you approve it.
The problem
The distances are deceptive. The lodges book out a year ahead. Half the places you find online are closed for your dates. You open 40 tabs, start a spreadsheet, read conflicting posts from 2018.
Do you need a 4WD? Which route from the Lower 48? Is the cruise add-on worth it? Every answer spawns three new tabs.
Three hours later, you're more confused than when you started.

The solution
Tell us when, who, and what you love. We handle everything else.
Driving times, distances, and buffer for the unexpected. Every hour mapped out.
Matched to your budget and style, with booking links where available.
Glaciers, fishing, wildlife, hiking, northern lights — chosen from your interests.
The places worth stopping at and the tourist traps to skip.
Realistic cost estimates so nothing catches you off guard on the road.
Season-specific checklist plus contacts for the parts with no cell service.

Why us
Yoni Ryabinski founded Alaska Road Trip after years of friends asking him to plan their trips. He runs the operation hands-on — every itinerary is hand-built and reviewed by him before it ships. Yoni has driven thousands of Alaska miles across multiple seasons, and that's the knowledge that goes into every plan.

Two friends, describing Alaska trips Yoni planned for them personally — not orders placed through this site. That planning is what became the service. Dates are shown unchanged.
I gave them a rough sense of what I wanted out of Alaska and they turned it into a trip I couldn't have put together on my own. Anchorage, Homer, a glacier hike, a wildlife tour, Chena Dome, and a self-guided day in Denali. Every day was planned but it never felt boxed in.

They've planned two Alaska trips for me now, and both went places I never would have found on my own. One took us two days up the Dalton Highway looking for caribou — we never found the caribou, but we ran into a musk ox instead, which was somehow even better. The other was a day tearing through the backcountry on quads, side by side. They handled every detail and left me free to just enjoy the adventure.

Included after delivery
After Yoni delivers your route, Alaska Co-Pilot gives your itinerary an app layer with offline-ready route context, curated stops, and narrated guidance for the drive.
"This is Windy Corner — one of the only roadside spots on Earth where Dall sheep come down nearly to sea level, drawn to a natural mineral lick on the cliffs above the road. They often graze just feet from the pavement, so ease off and watch for stopped cars."
Free on Google Play, included with every custom Alaska Road Trip itinerary — your route loads into the app after delivery. On iPhone? Everything you buy works on any device — the printable PDF, web trip dashboard, and calendar and map exports. Co-Pilot is a free Android bonus, not the product.

Start with the days you have, then choose what to leave out. These starting points assume you fly into Anchorage and rent a car; the drive from the Lower 48 needs extra time.

A focused first visit
Anchorage → Seward OR Talkeetna & Denali → Anchorage
Choose the Kenai coast for a relaxed week, or head north for Denali. Combining both is possible, but means more time in the car and fewer slow mornings.

Room for both
Anchorage → Denali → Anchorage → Seward → Anchorage
Split your time between the Interior and Kenai Fjords. Stay multiple nights at each base, and break up the long Denali-to-Seward transfer around Anchorage.

A little further, a little slower
Denali + Seward, with time for Homer OR Valdez
Build on the coast-and-mountains route with another region or extra nights where you love it. Choose Homer or Valdez instead of squeezing every town into two weeks.

These are approximate driving times before sightseeing, meals, or construction delays. Give a scenic transfer most of the day, and avoid a long drive before your flight home.
