A little less research. A clearer route.

Find your Alaska road trip

Start with the days you have, then choose what to leave out. These starting points assume you fly into Anchorage and rent a car; the drive from the Lower 48 needs extra time.

7 days

A focused first visit

Coast or mountains

Anchorage → Seward OR Talkeetna & Denali → Anchorage

Choose the Kenai coast for a relaxed week, or head north for Denali. Combining both is possible, but means more time in the car and fewer slow mornings.

7-day itinerary

10 days

Room for both

Denali meets the coast

Anchorage → Denali → Anchorage → Seward → Anchorage

Split your time between the Interior and Kenai Fjords. Stay multiple nights at each base, and break up the long Denali-to-Seward transfer around Anchorage.

10-day itinerary

14 days

A little further, a little slower

Make Alaska your own

Denali + Seward, with time for Homer OR Valdez

Build on the coast-and-mountains route with another region or extra nights where you love it. Choose Homer or Valdez instead of squeezing every town into two weeks.

14-day itinerary

Leave room for the road

Miles are only half the story

These are approximate driving times before sightseeing, meals, or construction delays. Give a scenic transfer most of the day, and avoid a long drive before your flight home.

Estimates: ALASKA.ORG mileage chart. Check Alaska 511 before setting out.

A few good
questions.

Ask us something else ↗
What does an Alaska Road Trip itinerary include?

Every itinerary is a custom, day-by-day plan built for your exact dates, travelers, and interests. It covers your driving route with realistic distances and timing, hand-picked lodging with booking links where available, activities and wildlife stops, restaurant picks, a realistic budget breakdown, and a season-specific packing and emergency-contact list. After delivery you also get the trip dashboard, calendar and KML map exports, and Alaska Co-Pilot access tied to your route. It is hand-built by Yoni in Alaska, not pulled from a template.

How much does a custom Alaska road trip itinerary cost?

A standard itinerary is $197 and covers trips up to 14 days for up to 5 travelers. The Plus itinerary is $297 for longer trips, groups of 6 or more, or when you want priority turnaround — and it adds a second round of revisions plus extra detail and alternate options. Concierge is $497 and adds a live 1:1 planning call with Yoni before he builds your Plus-level itinerary. A $97 Lite itinerary covers short 1-to-5-day trips and cruise add-ons. Every plan is covered by a 14-day money-back guarantee.

Estimate your full Alaska trip budget ↗
How long does it take to get my itinerary?

Most itineraries are delivered within 5 days of completing the questionnaire, and you get one round of revisions after delivery to swap a lodge, add a day, or adjust the pace. For summer trips we recommend ordering several months ahead so the lodging we recommend is still open to book.

When Alaska lodging sells out ↗
How many days do I need for an Alaska road trip?

Most Alaska road trips run 7 to 14 days. Seven days covers the classic Anchorage, Seward, and Denali loop at a comfortable pace; 10 days adds the Kenai Peninsula or Wrangell-St. Elias; 14 days lets you reach Valdez, Homer, or Fairbanks without rushing. Your itinerary is built around the time you actually have.

Compare 7-, 10-, and 14-day routes ↗
When is the best time for an Alaska road trip?

The road-trip season runs from late May through mid-September, when the highways are clear and most lodges, tours, and visitor services are open. June through August is peak season for long daylight and wildlife; late August and early September trade some daylight for fall color, thinner crowds, and the first chance at the northern lights.

Month-by-month guide to timing your trip ↗
Why use a planning service instead of planning the trip myself?

Alaska rewards local knowledge. Distances are deceptive, the best lodges book out a year ahead, and half the places you find online are closed for your dates. Founder Yoni Ryabinski has driven thousands of Alaska miles across multiple seasons and personally builds every itinerary, so you spend your trip traveling instead of second-guessing a spreadsheet.
